Can I just braig a bit? I decided I was bound and determined to have an avatar on this new swap. It took me 1 and 1/2 hours to do it, but I finally got it figured out with a little help from dh.

It was easiest for me to find a saved picture on my computer, resize it in Adobe Acrobat, export it and save it as a jpg and then insert it as my avatar.

Sounds like you are in the right place. Don't know why my last post cut off. Sorry!

Tinypic will give you four links. Put the one labeled "Direct Layouts" in the "Upload from URL" space.

You don't need to fill in dimensions.

Please let me know if that doesn't work for you.
