Water Leak

Postby Barbara » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:44 pm

Please pray that we can get a plumber to come out in the morning to find our water leak. Since we wear shoes in the house, no one saw it until the carpet was soaked enough to show footprints. It appears to be leaking in the wall of my ds's closet so hopefully there won't be much damage once it is found.

Although I have VBS tomorrow, I am blessed that my dd is old enough to stay here to let him in. I will only be 10 minutes away if she needs me or my dh is driving separate from my ds so he too can come home.

Thank you for your prayers. It turns out that the tube (or whatever you call it) on my a/c got plugged so it was overflowing into my wall which drained out onto the carpet in my ds' closet . We are currently waiting for someone to extract the water from the carpet. The praise is there was no wall/ceiling damage.

I am grateful there is not wall damage but I didn't realize we had to replace the padding under the carpet. Dh has not really been available today (tremendous work load) so when I can reach him, it is short. We are not going through insurance which I hope was a good move. We might also need to replace a cabinet in the bathroom which would actually involved getting two since they need to match. Sounds bad but on the flip side we needed to think about new flooring ... remodeling the bathroom, not so much.

Praying this does not affect your insurance rates and that it is done quickly, with quality materials and workmanship and that you are blessed by the remodel.
