Funeral Salvation prayers

Postby Fuzzyliz » Mon Apr 23, 2012 3:08 am

My friend - the one whose Dad died recently - his funeral is on Wednesday. Most of her family her unsaved (her extended family and her dh). Her father was a church warden for many years and also a freemason. He became a Christian a few years ago - maybe 5. There is an element of aggro over the funeral because the non-christian element don't understand the really christian element - to them - they are all christians, they are good people, they were born in England - you really don't have to get all religious!!! It would have been her father's dearest wish to see his children and his wife truely converted. So whilst keeping the peace my friend is ensuring that there is a goodly element of the gospel being included in the service.

I have said I will stand with her in agreement for salvations as a result of what is spoken during the funeral, and I said that I knew this group of praying women in America who I knew would be willing to stand with us in agreement.

Is that OK? Would you be willing to stand in agreement for salvations as a result of what is spoken out in the service - the Psalm being read is 139 and there is a reading from 1Timothy.

Thanks.

"Eyes that see and ears that hear, both are a gift from the Lord. No man can come to the Father unless he believes that his is God and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. No man comes to God unless the Father draws them." Praying that eyes are opened to see the truth, ears are opened to hear the truth. Praying they see that God rewards those who diligently seek him and praying that the Father draws them unto himself. Praying that God softens their hearts and reveals to them their need for him.

I told my friend of your responses, here is what she said.

"Thank you. Please thank your praying friends for their faithfulness in interceding to bring His kingdom come His will be done in each life according to His plan & purpose. They are true warriors"

Just thought you might like to know how appreciated your prayers are.
