Please pray for safety for him - this is the first year he has gone without any other members of the family being there. I know he will be OK, after all the other kids are mostly on their own, just I have always been used to older kids keeping an eye!

Also they are going to be located at the 23rd mile mark which means it will be a long day - he has to be at meeting point at 6.15am - dh is going to take him, that is not in London, but at the superintendents house in our town. They have a minibus to take them to London and to their position. They will not be released until most of the runners have passed them - which could be quite late in the afternoon for the stragglers to get that far.
