Red Tails

Postby Ruth » Sat Jan 28, 2012 9:02 am

We went to see Red Tails last night. We were really excited about it because we have several Tuskegee Airmen museums and monuments here in Lexington.

I love the idea for the movie, but...even I (who is very tolerant) thought the acting was horrible. The dialog was just that, dialog, and very very predictable. Some of the plot was also very unrealistic and again...predictable.

We paid too much to see the movie and I was disgusted about that, but I was also disgusted and annoyed because we could hear the bass sounds coming from the adjoining theater. After the movie I complained about it and the manager gave me 4 tickets to come back to see any movie we wanted. So...it all turned out well.

Don't go to the theater to see this movie, if you are interested, rent it!

I am sorry this movie was so disappointing. I still remember when some of these men came to the community college where ds was taking dual credit in 2009. He told me they were very interesting to listen to.

We've got one airman living in Duluth. He and his wife used to eat in the restaurant where Vinnie worked for five years (M works there now). Joe's wife died, so he doesn't come in much anymore.

I'm sorry the movie isn't all that good--I really wanted to see it. Yep, DVD rental instead....
