Although we want to encourage lively discussion on a variety of topics, threads that become obviously argumentative will be deleted. (If part of the thread contains material of particular value, that portion might remain as a locked thread.)

If a thread you are participating in disappears, this does not necessarily mean you were at fault. Usually, there are several posts by several individuals that, together, cause a thread to become incompatible with the friendly, welcoming tone this forum strives to maintain.
