I'm coming to the conclusion that today's new young mums already know it all and don't want advice! Seriously the classes they go to, the things they are told are just so different from when mine were little.

I just gave out a piece of advice yesterday - one lady in our church has just had a baby by c-section, and she was due to go home yesterday but then her dh had a mild heart attack and ended up having a stent put in so was also in hospital; so the two of them plus baby are going home tomorrow to stay with her mum and dad for a few days! Anyway the advice I gave was for the person taking mum and baby home to take a pillow with them for mum to hold over her tum during the ride home - even the smoothest of roads has a gazillion bumps and a few days after a c-section she will feel every single one of them! Who knows if it will be taken!!

I enjoy getting into conversation with people with young babies and then if they ask or if something comes up in the general chit chat I can throw in my penny's worth. Most people don't talk to me about babies because I have a number of children they are always worried I'm going to judge them for only wanting 1 or 2!! They just don't get it that it is their decision - nothing to do with me at all!

But :yeahthat to all the above about potty training etc.
