The problem with using hamburger is that is is more expensive than cuts of meat. Added to that is that the meat that's is ground into hamburger has fat added to it.

For the passed few years we've only purchased preformed hamburger patties when there is a fantastic sale or we do without ground meat. For all other dishes that have traditionally been made with ground meat we have used cheap "steak" cuts and shredded the meat into the sauce - spaghetti, chili, whatever.

Yes, Tamie that is a picture of the pancakes I mean - they are like the packet wraps we can get but a thinner and lighter. I think the pancake batter is probably more or less the same as your pancake batter, but probably more milk so that it is thinner and you can tilt the pan so that it fills the size of the frying pan. They are based on French Crepes.

THAT'S the word I wanted! I had to go searching for UK pancakes since I could not think of French Crepes.
