Sorry for the delay in approving your Introduction. Sunday's are very busy for me. I just turned on the computer.

You WILL find some GREAT interaction and support here. We have a number of adoption families and mostly all homeschool families.

Fun. Another older mama from the Midwest. Me too. :)
I'm in MO. My oldest is 33 (with their first baby due in Dec).
Our second is 29 (with our two grandsons, in NY).
Our third is 25 and single, lives on own.
And our baby is finishing up his last year of high school,
while taking a lot of college courses along the way.
Welcome to the Swap. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hi, Linny!

I'm another "older" mom. I have one stepson, two adopted kids, and three homemade ones. The two adopted are Hispanic/white, which is what we wanted because my ex-husband and I are both Hispanic. He got tired of being a family when they were very small, and my current husband of 28 1/2 years took over being their dad when they were 4 & 2. The kids range in age from 33 to 16. The 16 and 33 yr olds are very close, and the youngest even spent 5+ weeks with her older sister this summer because she was studying ballet in Philadelphia. Our kids are 33, 32, 30, 25, 23, and 16.

We live in Northeastern MN, so I guess that's the Midwest as well. :P I come from So California, and the Midwest seemed like Mars to me while growing up, so it still sounds funny to say we're in the Midwest. We've been in MN for 12 years and love it.

We've used a ton of curriculum over the past 23 years. Our only child left at home uses PACE and other courses because she studies ballet all day long and needs an independent course of study. No grandchildren yet, and none in the foreseeable future. :/

Welcome!!

Welcome!

This is a great place, take off your shoes and set a spell!

I'm a Michigander gallivanting around the US with my Army Guy...hoping to someday move back home (home is where family is). We have three children, 22yodd (engaged), 18yodd (Sr in HS at home), 13yods (8th) and are stuck in PA currently (dont' like the homeschool laws here).

Welcome to the Swap!

I'm a FL girl, born and raised. Married to my best friend and homeschooling our four children ages 15, 13, 10 and 3. I've been on the Swap since 2006 and the ladies here have blessed me tremendously with their support and knowledge.

It's not all about homeschooling here so I hope you'll look around and make yourself at home in the other forums. Glad to have you here. :)

Definitely not all about homeschooling here! I was homeschooled but now participate in the boards for advice from the wise ladies here and for general chat on interesting topics. I'm 24 and live in the Midwest, as well (Chicago). But, I'm often down in central Illinois and love the open space and fresh air. I love the Midwest and doubt that I will ever leave!
