MQ had allergy testing today. Bad on 40+ allergens

I did not go with MQ so most of what I know is what she told me. She showed me her 'test sheet'. They tested 60 items. More than 40 of them marked as allergic. MANY of those are a 4. The doctor told her that one could get a 1-4, with 4 being the worse possible.

I think that if she's THAT ALLERGIC to dogs, cats, dust, mold ... and many of the outside allergens are 4s as well, she should have an epi-pen. She sees the doctor again on Friday (I think). Should she ask for an epi-pen?

Her health insurance will cover the shot series that the doctor prescribes. THAT'S GREAT NEWS!

I took shots for almost a year. Had to stop because of the bad reactions I was having. Ended up with much worse and many more allergies.

She's NOT functioned well for about 3 yrs. She did not have many symptoms before then.

I wonder if you had such problems with the shots, would you recommend them for anyone?

I had shots to desensitize myself when I was a child. My mom told me that I was allergic to 'everything'. The last time I was checked I had NO ALLERGIES!

The shots have been wonderful for Madeleine. Made a huge difference. She should be finished by next January (five years). Vinnie started them about 8 months ago as well. Veronica started them, but never finished. She regrets it.
