Smoked salmon

I got a box of it for Christmas ... how do you normally serve this? I initially thought with crackers and cream cheese. Other ideas?

My husband would just eat it plain or put it in salads, but crackers/cream cheese works as well!

Just back from getting my cream cheese! Gonna try it this weekend or sooner!

eta: it says it does not need to be refrigerated ... well, that doesn't sound right to me. Maybe if I lived where Vicki lives!

How did you enjoy it?

The first time I met dh's family was at a meal at one of the top London hotels that a friend of their family had put on. I was put way across the table from dh (who was my bf then obviously!). The man organising it had just ordered the meal. The starters were smoked salmon and prawns with a little lettuce leaf and a couple of small slices of brown bread. I hate hate hate smoked salmon and prawns. For me they just don't go down! I managed to swallow a couple of small bits with the bread and then hid the rest under the lettuce. I was too far from dh otherwise I could have sidled them over to him (he loves them). I felt mortified when his family found out and they all said that I should have told them and they would have ordered something different for me! This was the very first time I met them! Ah memories! I occasionally buy it for dh as a treat and he will have it in a sandwich, or with some prawns and thousand island dressing.

I have been enjoying them on a Ritz with cream cheese. I first tried it while making a pasta dish and just throwing that in there and enjoyed that as well. I have at least 1/2 of the salmon still sitting in the refrigerator.

You're going to be enjoying salmon for a very long time............... (Can you mix it with mashed potatoes and an egg, and fry it up in patties?)
