Just finished Jacob Matthew's birthday cake

Postby TamieJP » Thu Jul 28, 2011 8:24 pm

His 1st birthday is tomorrow. I waited as long as I could for the house to cool off a bit. It was tough to frost in this heat. Turned out SUPER CUTE!

I started taking short cuts because I'm so tired. I think they added to the cake. Instead of washing a needed tip, I used a tip that I was uncertain of it's design. Ended up the section of cake I was decorating, with left over colors from anther portion, looks like broad leaf grass. The colors are variegated green. The same color I made the horse bridle and saddle. I was going to do different colors but... OH I AM SO TIRED.

(Three doctor appointments, car repair, help EG with her cake to Jacob...)

Hope to post pictures tomorrow. I have to go clean the kitchen and go to bed now. I took pictures of the cake & I'll get some of Jacob tomorrow.

Sorry, I forgot my camera at NTL, Amy, Jacob and Elana's house. I'll post pictures when I can.

Amy is to be induced next Saturday if Elana does not show before then.
