I do not see the scripture agreeing with your stance at all Denise, I know there are other writers and concordances that dont quite see it that way either.... so we shall have to agree to disagree......

Even though in my opinion I think Romans 12 is giving instructions to individual believers, I would say that verses 14, 17-21 would have to do with our dealings with unbelievers.

The heaping coals upon someone's head was a good thing....they were bringing back coal for heat in their houses...Tamie pointed that out with cool pictures and everything.

Denise, I see the Scriptures as you do. I believe our brothers and sisters are those who are in Christ..this is our new family.

As far as the verses pertaining to individuals rather than nations, where I am confused is that nations are made up of individuals. I know I am just talking in circles here but that is what confuses me.
