I just spoke to my sis--they are starting to gather for an evacuation, though I doubt it will come to that. The fire is still 4 miles away, but it blew up from 8,000 acres to 14,000 acres in just a few hours. They've evacuated Masonville--the little town up the road. Her dh was out all morning building firebreak around a widow from their church's house. They can't find one of my sis's cats, so if they have to go, the cat have to be left behind. Our Scout troop headed out today to camp, about 10 miles north of the fire. And dh is out on a fire call here. Please pray for all!
eta: one good piece of news--the fire can't run too far one direction as the Hewlett fire burned that section out in May!
