Friday update: My son's interview lasted an hour. He thought it went well. I will let you know the outcome as soon as I hear.

Called my mom and told her that I put her on a waiting list for assistant living and that they will have an opening at the end of the month (May/early June). She told me good. She said she is tired of worrying about things. Her a/c unit is outside the room she mainly stays in. She said she worries that the compressor is going on too long. Yesterday she couldn't remember how to use the ATM. She said she is ready. I told her that we have an appointment May 8th for an assessment and that she can take a tour to see the room.

If this all works out, it will actually be good for my sister to be busy with the end of school and not stressing over this. I can move Mom in and then my sister can come up after school is out and help her decorate. Having the summer off (she is a teacher) will give her the ability to come visit a couple of times before the school year starts. It will take any guilt off of her for not being able to visit much once school starts back.

Isn't God awesome?

Good things are working out. Remind me is the assisted living place near to you - I had a feeling it was?

Yes Liz, this place is five miles (12 minutes) from my home.

I (and you guys) have been praying that my sister would be open to the idea of Mom coming here since she works and I don't. Mom has always been on board about it but I knew that my sister would not. How could she since she has never not lived closed our mom? I approached my sister a couple of months ago so that she would have time to think and pray about it. Having seen how God walked us through my dad's health issues and death, I was sure that when the time came He would do the same with this and that is exactly what has happened.

I thought that was what had happened - it is so good that it has all come together! Will continue to pray about the details.

Thanks for the prayers for my son. He has gotten a job for the summer. It isn't the one he interviewed for (may still get contacted on that one) but one that dh's boss has approved. This means ds#1 and ds#2 will be working at the same place ( dh's company) this summer. It is great they have summer employment as well as experience for their degree.
