If he needs help with speech maybe you could get the $ for the program or at least part of it.

You don't have to have 3G for an IPad- my son has one (he saved and bought it himself).. and he just "slurps" our home WiFi.. he takes it all over the place with him and uses WIFi wherever it's available. If you have a chance to get an IPad.. don't pass it up! They really are amazing. I wish I could get one for Sophie (our dd with disabilities)- Joe lets her use his once in a while and she loves it- but the cost is insane..

I think they are great, but David didn't pursue it. He still may because we can get wifi at home. Thanks!
