TI-86 calculator and TT Geometry

Postby Stacy » Tue Feb 28, 2012 5:27 am

For those of you who are using Teaching Textbooks Geometry, I wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that you will need to get a TI-86 calculator. Nothing was said in dd's books about this. Nothing is said on the company website about this, yet she comes to me yesterday and tells me that she needs a different calculator. So I got to spend my evening on Ebay, looking to find a good deal, in hopes that the item will also get to us quickly.

Yeah, that would have been nice to know! Can you use a higher level one? I don't think we have an 86 any more--just 93's I think. Glad we're using Jacob's!

Vinnie didn't use a calculator until TT Algebra 2 (we did MUS Geometry). I think it's kind of funny--I wouldn't allow Vinnie to use a calculator until his junior year. People thought I was wrong and that it might hamper him. Guess not. :P
