Are you all going to come down for the Mines tour? Would love to meet you!

What would be her major if she came here? I'd gladly offer her free chem tutoring, btw! (We have a new instructor teaching the freshman chem sequence, not sure how good he is. The old guy, the one who teaches the "off track" now, is fantastic.)

If she'd end up there, it would be comp sci. I'm not sure she's geeky enough for Mines--she's pretty intimidated by friends that are there from our town. I think she'd be fine, but she's in this rut of thinkig of herself as dumb. ARG! They have two visitation dates this fall but she has West Point interviews both those days. The next are in Feb. Thanks!

To add to the acceptance list--not really an acceptance, but notification of an Army ROTC scholarship to her top five schools!

Add another: Western State College of Colorado. It's sort of silly actually; she already has 20+ credits from them... However, they DID send confetti!

I remember one of my kids getting t-shirts from colleges, none of which she'd applied to.

:2lol - none of those! - She'd love to go to SLU - St Louis University - but hasn't heard from them yet and the price tag there is pretty hefty. Where she goes will depend entirely on $$$.
