Congratulations on the acceptances!

My uncle went to SLU back in the day.

Hoping that your daughter is accepted to her top choice with lots of fin aid!

Hannah can add Hillsdale to her list--she just now heard because a recommendation went astray.

Hannah's decision has been further complicated...she was offered money to swim here at Western State. However, they would require her to live in the dorms, so it would COST us money for her to do that. Plus, they don't have the major she wants. I do not want her to do it. I'm concerned about the funding on down the road. WSC is notorious for cutting programs...

And...today she was offered a West Point Assoc of Grads prep scholarship. Basically, WP wants her, but they don't have room in the Class of 2016. If she accepts it, keeps her nose clean, gets good grades, she has a Appointment for the Class of 2017! However, it means 5 years to graduate. She's probably be at NMMI, but possibly at Marion, Valley Forge, Greystone, etc. We have friends who went to NMMI and they really liked it (they went to play baseball). Decisions, decisions...

Taking an extra year to have West Point... That doesn't seem like too bad of an idea! :)

Teachermom, do you live in Illinois? I've taken the train down to Bloomington-Normal many times but haven't explored the twin cities much.
