I got married on 21st May.

So far only my oldest dd has sent a txt to congratulate us - and my Mum rang me this morning.

I'm not bothered - next year it might bother me - 30 years is one of the milestones!

However, apparently the kids wanted to do something for us but Mum told them to wait until after the wedding as we really wouldn't be able to do anything before then....ummmm no! If anything is happening I want it TODAY - not 3 weeks time - that will not be a special day!! I don't want them spending money they don't really have at the moment - but a thought, even a txt would have been nice, but if they all think they are doing something in about 3 weeks time then they won't today!

Like I said I'm not bothered - as in I'm not upset with them - just pointing out what has happened (or as is the case, what hasn't happened!!)

Congratulations both of you on your anniversaries. Liz for what it is worth, my kids don't do anything on our anniversary. They feel it is between their dad and I. My sister felt the same way with my parents with the exception of their 25 and 50th.
