The writer of Psalm 119 knew well that bad company corrupts good character.  In verse 115, he told evildoers to get away so that he could keep God’s commands.



I got to thinking about how some of my activities pull me away from God’s commands.  Now, I’m not referring to what most of us would classify as “big” sins such as adultery, murder, or h8m8sexuality.  I am thinking of seemingly innocent things like using the computer.  While the Internet can be a wonderful tool, how many times do we find ourselves spending more time there than necessary?  After all, we could be spending that time in the Word or in making the house look nice for when our husband comes home at the end of a long day.  We could have spent that time reading to our children or playing with them.  When we realize we have wasted too much time on the computer, our attitude usually changes for the worse.  We realize that we are suddenly pressed for time in getting the evening meal ready or whatever the case may be.  The result is often that we tend to get crabby.  Add a short fuse to our temper, and we can quickly infect those around us.  Before we realize it, the whole family is in a bad mood, thus slightest offense leading to much bickering.



I admit it – I am a FOX news junkie.  With all that is taking place in the world, I find it difficult to turn off the television.  Yet, when they begin to talk about Madonna, Miley Cyrus, or Lindsay Lohan, do I really need to hear it?  To put it bluntly, it is gossip, and God’s Word tells me to avoid it.  If I ignore His commands, I become spiritually infected.



A real wake-up call to me was one morning when I told my daughter that I had a nightmare about Muslims the previous night.  She had an astonished look on her face and replied, “So did I!”  My husband and I knew immediately that the excessive watching of the TV news was not only infecting us, it was also infecting her.



You see, when we allow spiritual infection into our lives, it doesn’t just affect us.  It affects others.  Just as the psalmist took a stand against spiritual infection, we also need to do the same.

Unanswered?


"Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect which cry
day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will
avenge them speedily" (Luke 18:6, 7).

God's seasons are not at your beck. If the first stroke of the flint doth not bring
forth the fire, you must strike again. God will hear prayer, but He may not answer
it at the time which we in our minds have appointed; He will reveal Himself to our
seeking hearts, but not just when and where we have settled in our own expectations.
Hence the need of perseverance and importunity in supplication.

In the days of flint and steel and brimstone matches we had to strike and strike
again, dozens of times, before we could get a spark to live in the tinder; and we
were thankful enough if we succeeded at last.

Shall we not be as persevering and hopeful as to heavenly things? We have more
certainty of success in this business than we had with our flint and steel, for we
have God's promises at our back.

Never let us despair. God's time for mercy will come; yea, it has come, if our time
for believing has arrived. Ask in faith nothing wavering; but never cease from
petitioning because the King delays to reply. Strike the steel again. Make the
sparks fly and have your tinder ready; you will get a light before long.

The Latter Rain

To My people.  To My Church.  
Are you foolish or are you wise?  Be alert, not idle, for If you sleep the sleep of death, cut off from God, you will miss the Holy Spirits moving in the time of the Latter Rain.

Are you feeding upon the Word of the Living God that proceeds out of His mouth?  Or are you caught up in walking in the flesh, making provision for the flesh?  Awake, hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church in this hour.  Respond to the Holy Spirit.  Sit not idle, hypnotized by the call of Babylon, the short lived reign of Egypt, the glitter and charm from demons on assignment arrayed in many places and faces, with luring seducing power.  Awake, flee, come out from among the destined dead, come out, flee for your life.  Look not back.  

I say, answer Me when I call, AWAKE, shed the scales from your eyes, the blinders from your mind.  Answer Me when I call, open when I knock, follow when I lead.  Why march into the dark death prisons.  I am your Savior, your Lord, your Helper, your Healer, why halt you between two opinions, two opponents, Me and satan?  Go all the way with me, LIVE, LIVE, LIVE.  

The enticing spirits from he-ll have come with seducing powers, but I am the Victor over all.  I took the power over all of ***** and gave it to you, My Church.  Put on the whole armor of God, the total power of God.  It’s your garment.  As the priest was clothed from head to foot, you, My People, have the covering to choose, each one, as Aaron, was anointed.  It ran down from his head, down on his beard, down to garments and to the feet.  

O My People, awake in this hour, I am in your midst, walking, talking, leading, performing My priestly duties.  I am your High Priest.  I call you to arise and function in your priestly calling.  You are called, anointed ordained and covered by My Blessing, My power, My desire and will, My Blood.

I Am God and there is no other.

Many are and will perish by choice; they made not the Lord God their Abiding place.  I have called, I have drawn, I have sent the prophets the priests, the laborers, why will you die?  TURN, TURN, TURN. Turn to Me.  My arms are open to receive and my Word to save.

It is not My will that any should perish.
Come before it’s too late!
The door will one day be closed.
Which side of the door will you be on?
Shut in with God, shut out into darkness.
Choose!  I have given every soul a choice.

I see your heart.  I know your thoughts.
You say “I can’t be saved, I missed it so I have sinned, and made so many mistakes.  I can’t forget my past, sins, mistakes, faults, wrong doings.”  Don’t count my shed Blood as nothing!  The precious Blood, Divine Blood…the Blood of the Son of God.  Shed for all sins of God’s created beings.  The Blood that takes away, not just covers.  I am He that blotteth out all your sins.  I only ask you to believe and receive.  Be saved, set free from the curse of sin, which is eternal death.  The enemy will say, "Not so!"  He can’t say anything else for he is a liar.  Praise me for My Blood Cleansing and forgiveness – out loud, and the enemy will run from you.  Receive the New Life, receive your New Master, receive peace and Divine Help.  Expect Good things.  Expect God things.  Say it, think it, see it, hear it, experience it.

Matthew 24
Signs of the End of the Age
1Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,'[b] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 19How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
(So then the "elect" will still be here experiencing this? Wouldn't they have been raptured?G)


23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29"Immediately after the distress of those days
   " 'the sun will be darkened,
      and the moon will not give its light;
   the stars will fall from the sky,
      and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'[c]

30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[d]is near, right at the door. 34I tell you the truth, this generation[e] will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
