The kids seemed to be getting better. Just a really high fever but it was gone in 2 days.
Now I have some major chest tightness and coughing. Today have started with a runny/stuffy nose. I was up the entire night alternating between chills that would have my teeth chattering and then hot flashes that made me want to strip down to nothing. I used my last albuterol and xeponox for the nebulizer. I do have a scrip for more albuterol so I'll have dh get that on his way home.
Caleb and Delaney have started with coughing too.
I think it's just a cold. I am trying to keep a very, very close eye on everyone just in case this is actually secondary infections due to swine flu. I'll be happy when everyone (I mean everyone everywhere) either has the flu or has the injection and we can move on. It has me panicing at every sniffle and cough.
Hopefully dh will go to the pharmacy today. He didn't have it with him yesterday and then he came home and let me sleep and made dinner. I really need to nebulize though so when he gets home from K's soccer tournament today he'll be able to get it filled. I've looked through all the cabinets hoping to even find an expired vial but no luck.
I'm still feeling pretty crummy, but I'm a lot better than yesterday. I could hardly lift my head by late afternoon. I was laying on the couch with lots of blankets and a heating pad on my chest and a heat wrap thing wrapped around my feet.
I'm not shivering today so hopefully I'm past that. I have a bad head and chest cold now.
Praise God! I feel soooo much better. Still stuffy with a headcold some but not bad. I can taste food and that's amazing. Usually with a headcold I can't taste at all and am miserable for 7 days straight. Then finally things start breaking loose.
Makenna's still got some of a chest cold but not anything I'm overly worried about. The rest are back to being themselves.
I have absolute faith that this was the power of prayer that healed us like this. I have not felt as bad as I did on Friday in years!!! I couldn't even find the energy to get off the couch and walk upstairs to our bedroom. In a house with 5 kids, I treasure a few minutes in my own bed alone and especially so when I'm sick. On Friday I laid on the couch and didn't even notice anything going on in the house around me.
