Developing an intimate relationship with our Savior and Heavenly Husband takes time just like developing any important relationship.
I think we first need to read the Word to know who He really is and then we can discover who we are as His bride. So I would tell her to seek the one true God and Lord Jesus Christ before trying to discover who she is as His Bride.
Jesus said if you see Him you have seen the Father.
Then after she has discovered who God is then do a word study and look up all the times IN CHRIST appears in the New Testament. Because we are in Christ and nothing should be of our own works. |
| Psalm 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

I have a topical study on this in PDF version. If I can figure out how to email it to someone, would you be interested, Lily? |

My first one line response to myself was, the church as a whole is the Bride of Christ, not us as individuals, no? Is she seeking to be a nun? I ask that very seriously, not sarcastically. |

The church as a whole is the bride, not each one of us individually. Besides, I don't think the men would be thrilled to hear that they are to be a wife to God. |

I have to say, I have never heard of us being a bride to Christ individually. I do have this PDF study that was free from something or other...you know, when companies offer free downloads. That must be where it came from. I have never done this study but I can send it to anyone who is interested if you'd tell me how to do that with a PDF file. Soooo...can anyone explain where it says in the Bible that we are supposed to be a wife to God? I must be totally honest and say that sounds weird to me. I mean no disrespect by that! |

I think opening an email, choose ATTACHMENT and work through to where the PDF is. You might be able to tell the system to look for PDFs by a drop down menu in your word processor. Find the item, double click it and it should be attached to the email. Come here if you need the email addy to send the email to. I'd save a copy of the email and FWD it to all that ask for it so I'd not have to go through the steps over and over again. |
