Virtual Sefer Monty's Sausage Surprize

In a 5 quart crockpot or large pot, layer the following:
Potatoes- I diced 5 medium potatoes
Carrots- 3 large cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Celery- 1 stalk, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Onion- 1 medium, diced
Zucchini or yellow squash- cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Mushrooms- 10 small cut in half
Link Sausage- about 1 lb, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup of water
Add salt and pepper after the celery and mushrooms.
Cook until potatoes and carrots are tender. It took about 4 1/2 hours in the crockpot on high setting.

This was really good. It fed the four of us with some leftovers. It could feed 6 or more with the addition of bread and salad.
