It rarely lasts more than a few days here!
If it turns out really thick, (like JayJay's recipe) then I just put it in the pantry. If you keep thick syrup in the fridge, it gets thicker. However, if it turns out thinnish, I put it in the fridge. We don't eat it up as quickly as the thick syrup.
Wal-Mart has the "Mapleine" flavoring. It's not natural maple flavor, but I like it. Just a few drops flavors a whole batch of syrup. I haven't tried it with just the vanilla flavor, but may try that on the next batch.
