Virtual Sefer Stephanie's Dirt Cake

Dirt Cake
1 large package of Oreos
*Crush these until they look like dirt.
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 stick margarine, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
*Cream these 3 ingredients together.
12 oz. Cool Whip
2 large boxes instant Vanilla pudding
3 1/2 cups cold milk
*Combine pudding and milk for 2 minutes. Fold in Cool Whip.
Combine creamed ingredients with the pudding/Cool Whip mixture.
Layer beginning with cookies then alternate with creamed mixture. Be sure to end with cookies for the "dirt" effect. (You will probably want to refrigerate it for a couple of hours before serving or it can be made the night before.)
**I have seen people put this in a clay pot (lined with foil) and serve it with a small garden shovel. You can even use gummy "worms" on top for an added effect.
I made this for a church dinner last Sunday and it was gone in a matter of minutes. It's always a big hit.
