They do use the oven, but not for long. I bake my potatoes first (I use the microwave in the summer) cut them in half and dig out the centers. Put the part you dug out into a bowl and mix with taco meat or chili or whatever! Then fill your potatoes back up and sprinkle with cheese. I like to add a spoon of sour cream too. Bake until cheese is melted.
