
Homemade Pretzels

1 1/2 C. flour;
2/3 C. milk;
2 T. butter;
2 tsp. baking powder;
1 tsp. sugar;
1/2 tsp. salt;
1 egg;
Coarse Kosher Salt.Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add butter and milk, and stir until it forms a dough. Divide dough into 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a 10-12 inch stick. Twist into pretzel shape. Place on greased cookie sheet. Mix the egg and 1 T. water. Brush a little of this egg wash onto each pretzel. Sprinkle with coarse Kosher salt. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a light golden brown.
