Lily's Squash Casserole

2 c. cooked squash, drained
1 c. crushed Ritz crackers crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 large onion
1/2 c. grated cheese (or more if you like)
1/2 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste

Use some of the crushed cracker crumbs for top of casserole. Mix and bake at 350 until firm and crumbs are light brown. Cover top with cheese for 10 minutes before it is done. Yummy!!
