Blueberry Syrup

Combine in saucepan:
1/2-3/4 C. sugar;
3 T. cornstarch;
Add:
2 C. water;
Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Add:
2 C. fresh blueberries.
Simmer until fruit is tender. Remove from heat and add:
2 T. lemon juice.
Serve hot with pancakes.
