Anastasia's Crock-Pot Baked Beans
Crock Pot Baked Beans
1 lb navy beans
2 qts water
Soak the beans overnight. In the same liquid, bring beans to a boil and simmer about 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Drain, reserve liquid.
Combine in crock pot:
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup hickory barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 onion chopped (or onion powder)
Add some of the bean liquid to make them the right consistency.
Leave on LOW til suppertime -- Stir occasionally to keep them from sticking and building up on the sides of the crock pot. Easy, huh?
Serve with some fresh bread or cornbread and a nice salad.
