Easy Toffee

2 sticks frozen butter
1/4 tsp. cream of tarter
1 C. chopped pecans
1 1/4 C. sugar
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 C. chopped pecans

Set microwave to 10 1/2 minutes on high.

Combine sugar and butter. Cook until edges are bubbly.
Add cream of tarter. Cook again until bubbly all over.
Add 1 C. of pecans. Cook until tan, or rest of the time.
Pour into a greased cookie sheet pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the surface then the last cup of nuts. Lightly press chips and nuts into toffee.
Let cool then break into pieces. Store in canister or covered plate.
