Brownie Mix Recipe"

Brownie Mix
4 cups flour
6 cups sugar
3 cups cocoa powder
4 teaspoons baking powder
3 teaspoons salt
2 cups vegetable shortening
Combine and mix well:flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in shortening. Store in airtight container. Can freeze but bring to room temp. before making.
makes 8 batches
To make brownies
2 cups mix
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts or chocolate chips if desired
combine all ingredients, stir until moist. Spread in greased 8" square pan. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 20-25 min. I usually double it and use a 9X13 pan.
Add an extra egg for yucky cake like brownies, like my DH likes.
