Lori's Swiss Chard
Chop the stems into 1"-ish lengths. Stack the leaves and cut through them lengthwise a couple of times. Cut crosswise into about 1" strips. In a hot saute pan, swirl a tablespoon or two of EVOO, add a minced clove or two of garlic, salt, pepper, and the chard stems. Stir a minute,add the leaves and a tablespoon of water and cover. Cook about 7-8 minutes, uncover and stir. Let water evaporate. Serve.
