
Tasty Oyster Stew

1 pint oysters
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 qt. milk
1/2 qt. half & half
2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. paprika
Heat oysters in their own liquid; add 1/4 cup butter,seasonings,and Worcestershire sauce. When the edges of oysters curl, add milk, half & half bring to just boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat at once. Cut remaining butter into 6 pieces and place in heated soup bowls. Pour soup over butter and sprinkle with paprika. Serves 6
