Virtual Sefer Lisaf4's Famous Beans

3 c dried beans, pink or pinto
1 onion chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
lots of garlic
salt
pepper
chili powder to taste
bacon fat
water to keep beans covered.
Put all ingredients into a 5 quart crock pot and set on low. I start it the night before.
