
Paula's all-time-favorite cranberry salad.

2 small pkgs strawberry jello
1 pkg fresh cranberries
1 C. sugar (Splenda works well too, same amount)
1 small to medium can crushed pineapple, in own juice
1 large apple, chopped
1 C. pecans, choppedGrind cranberries, then put the 1 C. sugar over them & let set.
Boil 2 C. water, & stir into jello.
Add cranberries, pineapple with juice, apple & nuts to jello mixture.
(Note: Do NOT add the other 2 C. of cold water that would make *normal* jello).Chill.
This is a hearty, thick jello...pretty for the holidays.
Great with turkey, ham, whatever...I serve it in a clear glass crystal bowl...very pretty.
