Best Tomato soup
A friend gave me this recipe years ago and I make it every year. It is the best.
Cook and seive: 2 gallons Tomato's
4 large onions
1 stalk celery
Mix and add some juice to: 2 cups sugar
1/2 pound butter
1/4 cup salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper (I use jalepeno's)
1 cup cornstarch
Bring rest of juice to a boil and add mixture stirring until cooked. Process 10 minutes for quarts. Makes about 7 quarts. This is concentrated so I always add almost a quart of water when I reheat for dinner.
